MCR SAFETY FORCEFLEX® GLOVE USING D3O TECHNOLOGY

Hand injuries due to back-of-hand impact and crush were reduced by as much as 50% in the oil and gas segment after the original Forceflex® glove series was introduced in 2009 (USA) .

With market-leading D3O® impact protection on the back-of-hand and fingers, the new Forceflex FF2930 / MT1041 sets a new standard for industrial gloves.

The Forceflex FF2930 / MT1041 glove was designed using real-world input from ExxonMobil oil workers in the Falkland Isles, leading to a significant increase in dexterity, grip and flexibility.

D3O® high-shock absorbing properties out-performs similar materials weighing more; allowing for full flexibility and range of motion. Testing endorses:

• 54% better Back-of- hand impact dissipation and protection
• 46% better Finger impact dissipation and protection
• Tests show that with repeated impacts, D3O® maintains up to 77% of its impact protection integrity for continued protection.

A GUIDE TO IMPACT ENERGIES

D3O® technologies stiffen to absorb and dissipate energy during an impact, significantly reducing the amount of force transmitted to your body or smartphone compared to standard materials.

D3O’s team of expert engineers typically test D3O® technologies at a range of energies, from 5 to 50 Joules, to meet and exceed industry standard requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose materials.

WHAT IS AN IMPACT ENERGY?

The impact energy is the total (elastic + plastic) work done when two things collide. Energy absorption is the energy lost by a body as it compresses.

Force (F) is the result of an interaction between two objects. A body will remain at rest unless acted on by an external force. If a striker is falling, the force is the total mass of the striker and acceleration is due to gravity.
