We zijn een CO2-neutraal bedrijf
We are proud to announce that MCR Safety Europe has achieved Carbon Neutral status for 2026 for the 4th year running, as certified by Carbon Neutral Britain, a leading and independent organisation in the field of carbon neutrality.
This certification means that we have measured and reduced our carbon footprint across our entire operation, following the ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standard guidelines. We have also offset our remaining emissions by investing in verified carbon offsetting projects around the world, through the Verra-Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard – Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER) or the United Nations – Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes.
These projects not only help to combat climate change, but also contribute to social and environmental benefits in the communities where they are located. They support education, employment, clean water and biodiversity conservation.
Our carbon offsetting portfolio is managed by the Climate Fund™, which selects high-quality projects that align with our values and vision.

Stap 1 - Onze CO2-voetafdruk berekenen
We needed a starting point so a full audit was carried out in line with ISO 14064 and GHG Emissions Protocol Accounting Standard. This clearly identified what our carbon emissions were for 2025 focusing on three different energy uses:
- Directe emissies
- Energie Indirect
- Overig Indirect
We hebben een milieu-emissierapport ontvangen dat onze 'CO2-voetafdruk' definieert. Van hieruit kunnen we onze uitstoot identificeren, beheren en doelen stellen om deze te verminderen.
Stap 2 - Compensatie
Dit is egaliseren of in evenwicht brengen, zodat de uitstoot waar wij verantwoordelijk voor waren, werd gecompenseerd door acties die de planeet helpen, bijvoorbeeld het planten van bomen. Er zijn veel verschillende manieren om uitstoot te compenseren en wij hebben de onze gecompenseerd via de Climate Fund™ Portfolio van geverifieerde koolstofcompensatieprojecten over de hele wereld.
Stap 3 - Certificering
Nu deze eerste twee stappen zijn voltooid, zijn we volledig gecertificeerd als CO2-neutraal bedrijf, maar daar houdt het verhaal niet op.
Het proces voortzetten
Elk jaar opnieuw beloven we onze CO2-voetafdruk verder te verkleinen. We doen dit door onze processen voortdurend uit te dagen en ons team op te leiden.
Voor volledige transparantie zullen we onze CO2-voetafdruk jaarlijks publiceren, zodat al onze belanghebbenden onze voortgang kunnen zien. Elk jaar worden de drie stappen herhaald. We doen dit uit een oprecht verlangen om milieuvriendelijker te zijn, zowel lokaal als wereldwijd. Het geeft ons een groot gevoel van trots om deze positieve actie te ondernemen.
